The West Plaza - Kansas City

We were in the West Plaza bar several times. That's exactly what you should expect from a local sports bar. Friendly staff. Large television everywhere. Nice cozy atmosphere. I had burgers, nachos, perpetrators and the club sandwich. The club sandwich is my favorite. It has a good amount of meat on roasted sourdough. Really good.

They didn't have a side of fruit but they did give me a plate of cucumbers and pickles and I really did appreciate that

Every bit of food we had was average. Not good, not bad. The mozzarella sticks were obviously previously frozen sticks that came out of a bag from Cisco, Buffalo chicken sandwich was okay, chicken fried steak, pork tenderloin and funnel cake desert were all just middle of the road, nothing to write home. The service was very unwelcoming and unhelpful, sort of just “Whatcha want”. To the point where we didn’t even get a name of the bartender whose bar we sat at. When we asked about the dinner special, she just looked at us and goes “Steak.” That really suns it up for me! Again, very middle of the road. Guess that’s what you should expect with a place with a name like “The Bar”. Cant recommend this place enough if you just want something that will have you say, “Yeah that was alright, I guess.”

Nice little bar at the top of the hill. Away from all the business with plenty of TV's to watch a game. Good food at reasonable prices. Quick service and friendly staff.

Used to be a great neighborhood bar with friendly staff, patrons and semi decent food until recently. Under new management and this has changed for the worse. Thought I 'd try it again for the customer appreciation event . Pathetic. Asked to speak to a manager because my bill was massively incorrect and come to find out, all the servers started that day. So to no fault of their own, had literally no idea what they were doing. Ah, but where was the manager, Amy? She was sitting at the bar taking shots while her team drown with a packed house. When a line began at the the bar, she was kind enough to get up to make room. So kind that she actually grabbed her belongings, put them in her car and left! She must 've had plans. To Amy, and all other decision makers at this operation (if you will).. We are unequivocally unimpressed. P.s. All your drafts are flat
