Shoreslax - Kalkbaai iNingizimu Afrika

Six of us went for dinner last night and everything we had was simply fantastic! (I want to know what they put in the aioli that comes with the sweet potato fries, it was divine. The short rib farro risotto was a standout and highly recommended! The gnocchi and tomahawk for two were also wonderful. Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos of the starters (a prosciutto flat bread, shrimp ceviche and seafood tacos but trust me when I say they were all great!

My wife and I had the most wonderful dinner and evening last night at the ShoresLAX penthouse restaurant at the Hyatt House Hotel at LAX. We were there for their soft opening and were simply blown away by the ambience, service and fantastic food. Without a doubt a gourmet dinning experience in an unexpected location. The food was simply amazing. We started with the farmers market crudite with a tasty basil aiole and the scrumptious grilled shrimp street tacos with chipotle crema. For the main course, I had the honey glazed salmon with mango, bok choy, mandarin orange and quinoa (simply outstanding) and my wife had a warm roasted root vegetable plate with faro topped with a delicious grilled salmon filet (she’s still raving about it). We’re definitely coming back soon and bringing some of our friends before this jewel becomes super popular.

Walked over from nearby hotel place was great! Got one of the chicken big dishes which was crazy good. Hard to believe the place is not packed. Will be soon if they keep it up!
