Mardi Gras Tuesday A Taste Of New Orleans Sherman Oaks

Ordered the Taste of New Orleans and Jazzy Wingettes and a yummy Hurricane. The Hurricane was really nice, not too sweet. The wingettes were ok, they were cooked nicely, tender and juicy inside but there was so little flavor, the voodoo sauce wasn't even a little spicy as I expected. The Taste of New Orleans was delicious! (Minus the catfish or whatever that was). The flavors were so delicious and savory, I gobbled it all up. Its a cute little place with a nice outdoorseating area for us unjabbed folks cause were not allowed inside. lol. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. Pricing is fair. They also have coffee its located on busy ventura where you can walk up and down the boulevard.

Our first visit and we were definitely satisfied with our overall experience. Everyone is friendly, family owned and operated business, the decor has that New Orleans vibe, and even has an outdoor patio to host events. The food was so good! Ordered the oysters. Shrimp po'boy, gumbo and hush puppies, everything tasted delicious...! There is live music on Fridays and even offer comedy nights! What a cool place, we are definitely coming back!

????????? First off excellent service and hospitality. The food was delicious. We got the dirty fries which have a lil kick to them but if you like spice its perfect for you. The On the Bayou packed a lot of flavor. We got the catfish blackened which was a great decision. We also got the fried catfish and shrimp plate. I preferred the catfish, cooked perfectly with juicy flavor. The place also had some good vibes music that wasn't too loud for conversation. Definitelygoing back.
