Olde Peninsula Brewpub - Kalamazoo

The few times I have tried this restaurant the food has been okay but the service is very poor compared to others in the downtown Kalamazoo area. In my most recent experience my wife and I took my elderly father and my daughter with her child. The place was busy but certainly not full. There was a minimum of wait staff working the floor. It took over an hour for our meal to arrive (which is difficult on senior citizens and children) and when it did the food was dried out and looked awful. I called the manager over and complained but she insisted that the food had just come out of the kitchen. It had obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for an extended period of time. The manager did not agree with me but how would she know because I noticed that she went out for smoke breaks when she should have been helping out. We refused the food for the poor condition and did not pay. The manager had the audacity to charge us for two beers for the hour we waited for the substandard food. Because of the service I will not go back again. I don't know who owns this place but they better start paying attention. Are you listening brew master Dan?

This is one of those places that we do not make too often and every time we come back, we do not know why we have waited so long to return. The food here NIE disappointed! The beer here is always on the point and with a huge selection for each pallet. If you are not a beer, the bourbon selection is not a joke! Now we discuss the staff!!! They are friendly and full of entertainment we enjoy. If you're in Kalamazoo, don't give it up! Seriously, you need this place in your life!

This is our new favorite place! The pot roast egg rolls are the best food ever. The staff are kind, the atmosphere is casual, and the drinks are tasty. Prices are super reasonable. We're looking forward to coming back.

I would give 6 stars if I could. The beer is great. The food is great. The staff is great. Friendly and inviting. French fries are better than McDonald's and we all understand that. I bought two of the gift packs to give. Boyfriend was so happy with his he wanted to keep Both. I'm so glad we have such a nice local place to go to. We will continue to visit and if your looking for a nice meal or maybe an after work drink stop in and you won't be sorry. During the shut down you can order online and they'll delivery or you can swing by and grab it on your way home. Great family meal specials. And a growler of beer to wash it down.

Elise is an awesome human, fastest food ever! Great **** Mary and trash can fries!! I've never wrote a review before.. lol
