Przekaż informację zwrotnąThe reviews hyped this taverna as Kalamata style home cooked food dishes using local vegetables and traditional Kalamata recipes not offered elsewhere with no fixed menu. However the menu was standard Kalamata taverna selections with only two dishes matching the description of home cooked cuisine one zuchinni greens with boiled zuchinni the other baked aubergine with tomato sauce nothing rare there. The menu selections were identical to any average Kalamata taverna on the sea front. The fish was fresh but only fried fish was available no grilled fish. Skordalia tasted more of vinegar than garlic.The kayana egg dish was runny and lacked the firmness of the Kalamata kayana made with tomatoes and svelia cheese. All of the casserole and stew photos shown for this place on line were not on the menu and not available and we were told that they were served as winter dishes only. Not worth the extra trip to the outskirts of the city when there are equally good or better places that are more accessible As far as hospitality of the place, the smiling friendly owners must have been on holiday we were served by Lurch from the Adamms Family.

Inside you get a perfect glimpse on an authentic traditional tavern. There are even objects long forgotten from the golden era of the old Greek cinema. The food is of excellent quality too! Not to mention the garden behind the tavern where you can sit on hot summer evenings and enjoy your meal. Prices are at the low side. Definitely recommended!
