Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Joplin

Fast food type of venue and, the food is pretty good here. However, a couple of things that grates on me is the fact that the software heavily leverages you to provide a 15% tip for service. For this community oh, this is an outlier. I understand Management's desire to reward employees and readlly will provide such a tip with good service. However, like most chains with takeout menus, management uses a variety of rotating high school or college students. Service is somewhat spotty depending on the crew. Some excellent, some are not and some are sketchy in certain areas. The way things are structured, tipping us more of a default rather than an option

I'd like to drink some a lot they're very good they're nutritious and I will be going back there

Our host Tiearah was amazing and was very nice. Also super acknowledgeable about the menu.

I worked many years in retail, so I always always appreciate good service and that is exactly what you get the Tropical Smoothie on Main St. The staff is friendly, well trained and knowledgeable. The facility is also very clean which to me is very important. The quality of food is great and reasonably priced. Being self employed I like doing business with businesses that take pride in their service and products.

Stopped in to get a gift card for 100.00. I also had tip in hand for the tip jar just like I did the last time I was in. I use these gift cards as promotions at my own business, we have “giveaways”. I don’t fault the girl at the register, she was taking orders from her manager. I was going to pay with a 100 dollar bill and tip with a couple bucks (all cash, no change needed). Lady said her manager told them they couldn’t take 100 bills. I said, “OK” and put the bill back in my wallet and turned to leave. She saw 50’s and 20’s and said she could take them. I said, that’s OK, “Pineapple Express” or “7th Brew” will take my money and yes they sure did. Too bad, the food is there is good but its good other places too.
