Rosemary Cafe - Joliet

One star for convenience of travel, one for being a family business. The food was terrible and overpriced. Served on huge plates so I don’t understand the concept. It’s like a Bistro meets fine dining (per the fancy plates) meets family restaurant? I visited with my four young daughters ages 11 to 16. Immediately the waitress was standoffish and kind of rude because she didn’t introduce herself and wasn’t friendly. We all ordered a “fancy coffee” 5.50+ it was nice with a cookie cracker pre-wrapped. Not worth the price but still nice presentation. The orders were two waffle sandwiches, dry nothing to keep them together it was structured waffle a piece of the frozen chicken tenders from the freezer section at jewel/ aldi maybe, scrambled liquid eggs and spinach the other one had bacon instead of chicken tender. Spinach was not cooked used as lettuce style on a sandwich but no cheese to hold everything together. I guess we should have asked for it. Two crepes Nutella and Dulce de leche, top dry edges but bottom soggy possibly doughy couldn’t tell from the pound of filling inside. Last the burger cooked well but definitely the best plate out of all, should have asked for lettuce instead of spinach. Fries were good and crisp. Cleanliness 4/10, dirty menus, nice huge menu but again concept is all over the place. My bill was a nice round 115 for 5 people. Which I do expect when I go out to a nice restaurant but definitely not here. Will not be returning unfortunately.

Excellent spot for breakfast. Beats the heck out of all the junk along Fisherman's Wharf. Worth the short walk if you are staying at any of the hotels near the wharf. We found it by accident when we decided to walk up Columbus Ave. looking for breakfast. The Breakfast choices were large and the service was good and friendly. They also offer lunch and dinner.

My brothers and I took my mother here today for Mother's Day. it was our first time here and we will definitely be back! the service is friendly and the food is delicious! her mocktail drink list is so clever. I ordered a coco loco to drink and wants another one again! 10/10 would recommend!

The perfect place for a breakfast date. Im sure I'm nit the only one who has day dreamed of a restaurant concept of a place that serves breakfast concept dishes from around the worlds. This place knocks it out of the park. I ordered the Portuguese breakfast and it was absolutely wonderful. My husband ordered a sweet crepe. Both dishes had amazing plating along with taste. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other world breakfast plates. They also have an amazing coffee selection complete with iced coffee, frapp, and hot latte options. They also have the option for french press coffee where they set up the french press and bring it to your table to enjoy at your leisure. All staff was very pleasant and kind as well. A little pricey but so worth it.

Amazing food. Terrific breakfasts and salads. The coffee is not to be missed.
