The staff friendly and engaging- always nice for tourists. The tapas were all tasty and flavorful. The restaurant is alittle off the path, but certainly worth finding and enjoying a meal here. We would go again.
We happened upon El Acebuche late one afternoon during Feria del Caballo 2019, pleasantly surprised to find a table for our family of six despite the masses on the streets. From the moment our waiter brought a complimentary starter (the house salad with shrimp) through our final glass of wine, it was first class experience. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, explaining dishes in Spanish and English and making accommodations without complaint (gluten free kids). The recommended wine was exactly as we'd hoped for (a crisp, light blanco) and the food was extraordinary with very generous portions. We were told the snapper was an 11kg fish caught earlier in the day and it tasted like it. A serving so large we couldn't finish it. Same with the salmon both cooked perfectly. Despite a packed restaurant, the owner took time to visited our table and recommended the pork shoulder. We ordered it despite being nearly full and we're very happy we did amazing. The only dish that wasn't outstanding was the spinach risotto, probably a B+. It was very good just not write your foodie friends back home good. The wine list included many of our favorites from across Spain (not just Andalusia) and prices were reasonable. A return trip is a priority.
This restaurant had the most helpful and friendly staff. The food is a little off the wall for UK residents. Having said that all Tapas dishes were tasty in their own right. Great value for money like most restaurants in Jerez.
I was been in this place just to drink one beer so I can't talk about the food. The beer was good but quiet expensive for the price in Jerez(2euro instead of 1.20 euro)
