Even my non gluten free boyfriend rated it highly : They do gluten free burgers and buns so I'm coming back tomorrow to try them out! They are very relaxed in a positive way on gluten free stuff- they have options and can accommodate as required and know their stuff, which leads to a very relaxed meal. Plus it's a lively atmosphere so makes for a fun evening. Recommended!
We ordered the cauliflower appetizer, falafel "burger," and a halloumi bowl without halloumi, along with some beer. All these items were marked on the menu as vegan or able to be made vegan. The cauliflower was quite good. However, the server informed us that the halloumi dish came with a tahini dressing that contained honey. I’m not too concerned about honey, but I wonder why it was included. When we asked about the falafel "burger," there was no bun served. The server mentioned that the bun "might contain milk," so they simply omitted it and served the falafel with the burger toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, and sauce). The falafel itself was quite dry, but I suppose that balanced out the halloumi bowl, which usually comes with soggy salad. The fries were good, and the beer was enjoyable. Overall, I haven't had such a disappointing dining experience in quite a while!
As for the brewery aspect, it truly lives up to its name with an impressive selection of craft and canned beers. We enjoyed tasting a variety of options, from light beers to rich dark ales, each having its own unique flavor profile—overall, they were quite good. The highlights of our visit were definitely the drinks and appetizers; we shared a plate of nachos that were fantastic. However, the main courses—like the turkey club, burgers, and fish and chips—left much to be desired, as they were poorly seasoned and rather disappointing. In summary, I recommend coming here for drinks and appetizers, but be forewarned about the subpar main dishes and the very busy atmosphere where getting a seat might be a challenge. While the pub has its merits, I wouldn’t prioritize it over other options in Jasper.
This restaurant offers plenty of choices for those with celiac disease. They have a separate fryer and can modify most menu items to be gluten-free. The poutine gravy is gluten-free and absolutely delicious. The nachos are great as well. The atmosphere is lively and pub-like, making it a place where kids will also feel at home.
The staff was extremely knowledgeable. I ordered the Elk Meatloaf, and it was absolutely fantastic.
