Pollo Tropical - Jacksonville

I had never gone here but they have a nice kids meal that my son loves, so I started going there too. Wow the chicken is actually really good! The seasoning is very nice and it's usually cooked to perfection. I was shocked to say the least.

This place was formerly brilliant; but it seems that after its reopening after a decommissioning for renovations it all lost its good qualities. The lobby did not have the sauce/salsa bar, for which Pollo Tropical is known, the staff was not trained or offered on the restaurant menu, and we received an incredibly scanned amount of toppings on our Tropichop bowls. The lobby had no music, and we only heard the kitchen staff. Finally, as a result of personal questions, we have witnessed that a customer has closed the internal register before it and is said to have to order it through or via mobile via the drive. I guess we're staying at River City.

Eat well, but I went with my family and the chefs talked about women, clubs and other very inappropriate conversations. They were also very loud because we sat on the wide side of the register. I'm not trying to get someone fired, but they should learn some professionalism

I don't give a star rating from a single experience. I always give the advantage of doubt. When someone scared my drink with me, I didn't complain. When I said having a good day for someone and they didn't react because they talked from someone else to an employee, I didn't complain. When the interior was locked up because they were understaffed and only made the drive, I didn't complain. But today, when I stand there for 20 minutes on a very slow day, watching 7 people standing in the back around, text, eating out the food that they 're making, etc., I have to complain. It's not careless as an active F-you. I worked in fast food and I'm always nice to food workers. 20 minutes without being recognized, my meal comes with beans and rice, but I did not get it, my wife has her because these are her pages. I ordered two different sauces and not. Did anyone say they were from anything? No. No word. I will not be back or recommend this place to everyone until they have a completely new crew, even halfway obligated to do their jobs.

We can probably say goodbye to another Pollo Tropical location. Within the menu card did not work, so customers had to order from the store. Half chicken with 2 sides and a drink ordered. It was said there is no ice cream for the drinks. Ice machine didn't work a month. Really? The chicken was subpar. It was overcooked, extremely dry and without taste. I feel bad for those working there as their days appear numbered. Pollo Tropical was a great place to get a Latin inspired food. Now it's just a lonely place among so many fast food options.
