La Nopalera Mexican - Jacksonville

I've dined at this restaurant several times. The food is decent, which is why I keep returning. However, the staff who take my order are consistently rude and often speak in a condescending tone. If you’re willing to tolerate their service, feel free to visit – the food is quite good. As for parking, it can be quite limited.

I visited this location for the first time and had an excellent experience with great service in a cozy atmosphere. The portions for the standard Mexican dishes were quite generous. The fish tacos consisted of chunks of fish served on tortillas, accompanied by shredded cheese, lettuce, sour cream sauce, and pico de gallo on the side. The chicken enchilada had a very tasty red sauce, but the tortillas were a bit tough—perhaps a little more cheese would help with that. The margarita was decent but served in small glasses for $7. On the plus side, the chips and salsa were really good!

The service at this restaurant was terrible. The cashier was very rude and got my order wrong twice, even double charging me. When I requested to speak to the manager, I was informed that they were unavailable. I will never eat at this restaurant again.

Today was my first and last time purchasing food from here. It was sup-par at best. Burrito was soggy, beans watery and runny no taste and the rice was old and crunchy. ?Food: 1/5

We frequent La Nop on a pretty regular basis since they are in the neighborhood. Usually, we just go for the margaritas (best in town! but we also order food more than half the time. The food is good, flavorful and is always freshly prepared. This is, in our opinion, the best tasting Tex/Mex in Mandarin, as well as being better than many other places throughout the town. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that there is occasionally an issue with service. For instance, during out last visit this past weekend, we had to ask someone to find our server several times to get service, and this was not during a busy time. Typically we sit at the bar and the service there is always good.
