The server sat us with menus to which we looked through and got done it took about 10 minutes which is pretty good. Then when we ordered our food and drinks it took about 15 minutes for the drinks and 45 minutes for the food which is horrendous, I can get through the DMV faster. Mind you this was only ordered for 2 people. I watched as more people came in after us and got served before us so I believe this comes down to a problem with the server. We also never had them come around and ask about the drinks or talk about the wait, so I finished my drink in about 5 minutes and was never offered a refill which is also terrible on the service end. To wrap things up the take out order for a friend that we ordered at the start of the meal took another 20 minutes to get to our table still with no offer of refill. Thank you IHOP for your great food, but sadly the service was lower quality than my local McDonald's.
Have always wanted an IHOP but since getting one in town, it has gone down progressively fast. Service is slow to almost non-existant, food is often cold or not even served so have to ask to have items not received taken off bill. Today it took two hours from arrival to departure time and that was only because we went to the counter to pay; it was not busy at all when we arrived. Orders weren't even taken for 40 minutes after arrival, about another 30-40 minutes before food was served. Staff are friendly but no one is rushing around, that's for sure. Saw a few customers get up and leave. I know there are staffing shortages everywhere but even with that, these wait times were excessive.
Food is awesome. Service is slow and they will get to you when they feel like it. Only 3 people in here and it took over an hour to get our food. I guess that is lower Michigan for you!Food: 5/5
4th time in a row can 't seat us for several minutes because need to clean off tables , even though arrived at normal lunch time hours and empty waiting room. Needs new management ASAP. Normally IHOP is one of my favorite places but Jackson has been a consistent disappointment.Service: 1/5
I hadn't been here in 2 years and now I remember why. Literally everything bad that could happen during a dining experience. It's 1:00 on a Tues... the place had 2 tables sat, why did we stand in the front for over 12 minutes and no one came by to seat us?My daughter didn't get a refill, they brought her food but no silverware and it sat there for awhile until they brought mine, which was 5 or more minutes. So hers got all cold. Her pancake was wrong, mine didn't come at all... but I got my omelette that was laughably bad... like reallllly bad. It was ham and cheese, half the omelette was just egg the other half had, I'm not lying 6 pieces of diced ham, no cheese in the middle... and on the top was a melted SLICE of cheese with 2 cubes of ham stuck in it. It was so absurd lol. The toast came out all hard and cold. It was just every bad thing that could happen. We just paid and left but the restaurant was so empty and we were there for an hour and 20 mins for breakfast. We will not go back... judging from the responses on my FB post, most everyone knows this restaurant us terrible. How are they still in business?
