Przekaż informację zwrotnąI went to this restaurant with some friends for drinks and a light meal. After being seated, we inquired about ordering and were informed that it was table service. It took over 15 minutes for our drinks to be served, which was a bit long considering we only ordered two coffees and a tea. When our food arrived, my poached eggs on toast were cold and the toast was hard as a rock. It was evident that the food had been sitting out for a while. When we requested the bill, it also took a while for it to be brought to us. Overall, the service was slow and my meal was unsatisfactory. I am only giving a rating of 3 because my friends enjoyed their food.
We walked over to the restaurant from Appley Park, but it seems like they weren't very welcoming towards us. They quickly reserved all the tables and even refused to give us a take away coffee, claiming they were too busy all of a sudden. It was a disappointing experience.
When I visit my Daughter and Granddaughters, I love to go to the Dell Cafe, (the last time I spent £94.00 12 April 23). However, we have always received short tempered, very poor, troubled, unfriendly service by what seem like unhappy staff. Every time we come here. I complained yesterday about the lack of service and being totally ignored, so unacceptable that after wasting 30 minutes we got up from our table. The staff were not at all interested in us, looking away, 'rushed off their feet ' when they were not, so I left, devestated, screaming I couldn 't get served . We know it is best to book so we rang the Cafe yesterday at 11.30 but were told 'fully booked '. We had our meal elsewhere. Later we walked from Ryde to the cafe hoping we could have a table to just have drinks and the girls could have their favourite 'luxury milk shakes '. Oh dear, everything seemed too much trouble there were plenty of unreserved empty tables available! We thought 'forget it ', but we sat being totally ignored by every member of staff while we played trying to avoid being stung by wasps, as we continued watching the staff rushing around with 'I hate doing this job ' look on their faces. Why is this happening? I plan to revisit The Dell Cafe tomorrow and I know 'how busy they get ' and that 'it 's best to book in advance ' but I want to see some improvement here. To the customer they could do better and give us a super experience. Look where we are! The staff, I certainly feel they should do much better!!
Fortunately our local friends had booked this (we were five in total, plus dogs), it was really busy and we can understand why, what a stunning location overlooking the water. As it was busy the service wasn't speedy but that was fine with us, we enjoyed some rose and chose from main and specials menu, my fish from the latter was stunning. There was no full dessert menu but we saw the local ice creams and had to dive it, oh yes, delicious
