Sprigs The Food Shop - Isipingo

I have always viewed Sprigs as a great spot for delicious, different food. My husband went recently and was disappointed at the quality of the breakfast. Nothing wrong per se, just nothing special overpriced. I went with a friend recently and ordered the chicken pie with curry gravy. The curry gravy was very bland — I didn't eat it at all. We enjoyed a really lovely lunch. Good food, pleasant surroundings and pleasant service. Sprigs remains a favorite food spot.

My husband and I had the chicken pie, curry gravy and wedges. I have to say unfortunately it was the worse meal I have every experienced. The curry gravy made from 7 veg was actually a mushed up baby food experience with no curry flavour. We live in Durban forgoodness sake. The pie was okay but had little flavor. The baked cheesecake is delicious especially the one with caramel and nut praline. The base is crispy crumbly, the toasted linseed added a nice flavour. Also enjoyed the homemade pies and sausage roll, lovely flaky buttery pastry and quality filling.
