El Torito Irvine

We had a 7pm reservation and we were seated 45min later because the kitchen was backed up according to the hostess. The manager sat other groups that had checked in after us ahead of us. Then we had to wait for a server to be available to get us waters.

The music was super loud so it made it hard to visit with our guests. Our order came out wrong but we didn’t want to say anything so we just ate what they brought.

Happy hour food and drinks were great and reasonable.

It was very crowded. Waited 45 mins past our reservation time. Our server was excellent. Checked on us frequently and had such a great attitude and personality. Very accommodating to all our needs. Some of the food was pretty good. Some not so good. Many choices on the buffet.

Steak and chicken was so dry and hard to chew. So much residual fat in all the dishes. Food was heavy in calories and subpar on taste. Champagne mimosas were cheap mimosas that tasted cheap. Would never come back here again. Rather go to hometown buffet than el torito
