The pastas are really good, the pizzas are thin and heated by a brick...oven, but the best of all menus are the smoothtos. There is a refrigerator with different smootho flavors and you can add a brownie or a crepa.
Last night's visit began with a coughing waiter who sits on me. He was very fast and gave me a menu and immediately took my drink order. I finally ordered a pizza that turned out pretty good. The bread served as a free starter was excellent... like the shrimps. Overall, I appreciate the service as excellent and the food as very good.
Price is very reasonable, pizza is great, wood stove! Wine selection is very good, go with the house wine, I have seen the owner to have it too. Pasta is not bad, but still improving. Ice cream is good.
Overall, Gianni's is a beautiful place to relax with friends and enjoy some good Italian cuisine. We started with fried Calamari and shrimps. Suddenly it was served on a bed salad with black olives, onions and tomatoes. That was different. The bread basket was... delicious, but the spread options were more mexican than Italian. I had the shrimp and asparagus Alfredo for my main course. The asparagus was perfectly boiled and the fatuccine was amazing. The serving size was what you can expect from any upscale Italian restaurant. The pizza was the highlight. The crust, though thin, was perfectly crisp and the toppings added flavor instead of completely drown from the savory sauce and creamy cheese. My friends enjoyed an Italian wine while I was on an Italian champagne soda, although the Mexican style was ribbed. It was still refreshing. If I ever find myself in this part of the world again, I just try her gelato. It just looked delicious. My only complaint is that the waiter had to be hunted more often than not. But this is Mexican customer service for you.
