Chipotle Mexican Grill - Iowa City

We have been ordering from Chipotle since it opened. We’ve always enjoyed their food and service. Today’s order was much different. The food was cold and tasteless. The carnitas was put on the side and not inside the quesadilla. Taco shells were limp and broken. Portion sizes were very small. Not worth the money!

This specific location is awful. Everyone who works there is blately rude to your face when you come in. When i ordered they were out of veggies and instead of making new ones, told me they just simply didn’t want to make more and my order along with 4 online orders were not getting them just due to them being lazy i guess. This restaurant has given me food poisoning more times than i can count on my fingers. I absolutely love chipotle so i give it a couple months and hope it’ll be fine since i hadn’t been in so long. This restaurant is actually so disappointing it’s almost comical.

A burrito bowl? What’s worse? My order was incomplete and had to check and request to complete the order. No fajita veggies? No meat in quesadilla? I guess no one cares what the online order actually says. Never going back again!

This Iowa City location has gone down hill since it first opened. We have gone here for all the years it has been open. We catered two grad parties. We have always been satisfied with both the service and food. Today we ordered takeout and had it delivered. The Doordash driver did not check the order apparently. We are missing 2/6 dishes and 2/4 that did arrive were significantly incorrect. This was particularly difficult because we were having company! A corporate site visit would be a good idea. Also, we used to be able to call the site and now we were unable to get anyone to pick up the phone; after 20 rings it went to a message. Improvements needed!!

Sunday night crew was fire today! There were at least 25 people in the line and 30 to go orders, with more coming constantly and only grinding them further. Big hectic team, my belly and thank you!!
