Kingsmills - Inverness

We loved this restaurant so much that we will definitely be returning! The family room was amazing for our 5 year old, with personal service and polite, delicious food that wasn't over the top. The pool met all our needs perfectly. There was a function on Saturday night, so I would suggest booking a table in advance, as we did. The party ended after the kids fell asleep, so we didn't have to worry about disturbing any light sleepers!

The online booking process was easy, just be sure to mention in the comments if you want the vegan option. The food was delicious and the restaurant was full. I even took two slices of cake home because the desserts were so good. I would have given it 5 stars if there were more hearty options on the menu, but the cakes were generous. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing and upscale. I found the price of £14.95 per person to be a good value, especially since I am from London. Note that afternoon tea is only served from 2 to 4:30, but the restaurant stays open longer. (Updated from a previous review on 2021-08-31)

I went to the Royal Ascot day at the Kingsmills Hotel yesterday and I must say it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable (which is not easy when catering for such a large event.) The staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you for a wonderful day.

The hotel staff was perfect. so beautiful and friendly. honest best customer service. the part was that our first room had no hot water and weak shower. also no convenient plug fittings near the bette. the perfect staff then upgraded us and our room had great hot water, although the shower was still a little low. then the room was too cold. the thermostat did not seem to be very accurate to adjust. I really enjoyed my personal. the breakfast was good and extended times. would definitely return. also great location and convenient parking.

We have just returned from a beautiful two-day break at the kingsmills hotel inverness. this was a newly planned visit; our initial booking had to be changed by family diseases and we found the hotel very accommodating. we booked a garden room when we took our dog. the garden room has been well equipped with a comfortable bed, two sitting sofa and a beautiful bathroom. we did not have the opportunity to use the fabulous large shower as a boiler for hot water packed for all garden spaces and could not be fixed immediately. we were quickly assigned another (luxurious) room in the hotel and were supported by a very friendly staff to move all our things. we were thrilled by our second room at the kings club. the bed was absolutely fabulous, enormous and extremely comfortable. the breakfast was served at the kings club, which was great, which means we didn't have to go to the main hotel. the staff throughout the hotel were very helpful and friendly. on the second evening our waitress was somewhat uncertain and the service was not so slick, but hey ho, we were not on the hurry. we will definitely return.
