Tuatara Invercargill

This restaurant in Invercargill is a hidden gem. It boasts a wide selection of craft beers and delicious Cesare's pizza. The brewery in the back adds to its appeal, and Nicola's artwork throughout the restaurant makes it even more unique and special.

I had breakfast at this restaurant twice this week. I ordered poached eggs on toast with mushrooms. The mushrooms were large, juicy, and cooked perfectly. I also really enjoyed the coffee, which I thought was exceptional. The atmosphere was welcoming and I would recommend this place if you are in the area. I plan on coming back in May 2023.

Really enjoyed the food, drink and atmosphere... I have Coeliac disease so I risked the gluten free and had a on-premise brewed cider, Gadoochi Cry Baby. Finally in NZ a cider with sour tart bite to it, delicious . The gf pizza in plain Italian style was equally delicious... Staff unintrusive (the way I like it) and a great music soundtrack (perhaps a like loud for me). First time visit and I'll be back.

Great craft beer range and at a same price for all beer which is helpful. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Only place with wine on tap in Invercargill, and the red was good temperature for on tap. All this and the recent building work has given his place its 5 star rating, comfortable couches with heaps more space, and I will be back again!

This restaurant is a pleasant surprise. It operates as a great daytime cafe and transitions into a pizza place at night. It's a shame that the evening menu isn't more extensive, but I still really enjoyed my experience. The service was excellent and they offer a fantastic selection of craft beers and ciders.
