Hotcakes Emporium Pancake House

Food was not fully cooked and bland, coffee was lukewarm, we didn’t feel well after eating there. Tables were sticky.Food: 1/5

We normally love this place for brkfst! Today was not a good day for them! Our gravy was cold right out of the refrigerator, oj tasted bad, like spoile-fermented,, and the hash browns had a chemical taste! Both of our stomachs were cramping within 30 minutes ! Within a few hours of coming home, needless to say I am throwing up!! Will not be back again!!?

I have been to this restaurant at least 50 times, and not once have I had any complaints about the food. My go to meal is the Belgian Waffle with fruit, and not once have I had a problem with it. Sadly, these past two times I’ve been to HotCakes, the waffle has been different. The first time, the waffle was grainy and seemed to be made of pancake batter instead of waffle batter, but that was the only problem. This second time on the other hand, the waffle was cold; the butter wouldn’t melt, the appearance of it looked like it was made yesterday; it was dark in color and not “lively” if that makes sense, and for some reason, in the batter there was cinnamon. Waffles don’t have cinnamon! I’m not sure if they recently changed their cooks but they need to change them again. It seems like when it comes to waffles, they’re cutting corners on how they serve them, and it’s extremely disappointing since that’s the only thing I get there. I’m really hoping they go back to how they were, but until then, I’ll continue to be disappointed.First time first time it’s different (waffle, peaches, and eggs)Second time second time it was different, and cold (just the waffle)

Love this place! The staff is great, always smiling, friendly, and fast! Even when the restaurant is packed, somehow, the wait times are minimal. From order placed, to food in belly is quick as well, and the cooks have always provided great food! I enjoy the skillet dishes, with pancakes. The skillets are always fresh food, tasting great, and I dont even put syrup on the pancakes, they are just that good! If you can't tell, I really like this restaurant, you should go.

We went to brunch today and my mom was mistreated and lied on! Just because the waiter didn’t want to do her job. My mom received her meal and and stated that there’s no bacon in the omelette. The waiter asked oh they didn’t add it! My mom said no and the waiter offered to bring her a side of bacon. My mom stated that she only likes it cooked in the omelette. Next thing you know the manager comes out talking about “the waiter said you didn’t order bacon”. It was just easier to lie on my mom and say that she never ordered bacon. I can’t believe that it’s that easy for someone to get away with a lie like that! Then thought that my mom was going to pay for that omelette and the next one that they were going to remake!! What has this world come to? I advise you NOT to eat here and If you’re going to eat here! Please check your ticket and make sure that you get what you ordered! Or else you’ll be accused of never ordering it then requested to pay for it!
