Firebirds Wood Fired Grill Carmel

My husband and I went to Firebirds to celebrate my birthday. We have gone several times and have not disappointed. Unfortunately, this birthday dinner was not good. The steak came well, but as it sat and rests, it gets dry and ready. I ordered medium. The lobster was not good at all. It wasn't certain that it was completely ccooked and the grill taste was not what I wanted. I used to roar lobster tails over drawn butter with a candle under it to keep it warm. Only melted butter and it was cold. The image of the lobster tail did not show that it was cooked so completely disappointed on the grill. I had no lobster history for years and I was so excited about it. The plus was that we had an excellent server. Will definitely not go back for lobster and maybe think twice about going back for steak. My husband's grilled chicken breast was very good. Thanks for listening.

The waitstaff and host were attentive and helped to create a pleasant dining experience for lunch.

We had a large group of ten. They had no problem adding a chair for a possible eleventh person and when our tenth person was late, they had no problem bringing her a menu and serving her while the rest of us enjoyed dessert. The server was professional, kind and helpful, the food was absolutely amazing. They do an excellent job with large groups and the space where we were was quiet and perfect for all of us to talk to one another. I am planning my next group meal at the same restaurant in a different city already and highly recommend!

The experience was average, with nothing standing out as exceptional or poor.
