He obliged and wisely chose ROYAL INDIAN RESTAURANT. It was lunch time so we decided to throughly enjoyed the lunch buffet. Fresh salad, naan to die for, and the tandoori chicken was delicious! Needless to say we were pleased with the menu choices. The service was great. No need to ask for more water, the server was right on the spot with refills. Plates were removed promptly after consumption. Excellent! About 2 hours drive from the restaurant , I realized I left my purse there. We called to make sure it had been recovered, and headed back. The owners could not have been nicer. After describing the purse, he gave it back, with the assurance that it had not been tapered with. I most definitely will come back to the Royal Indian Restaurant for fresh food, prompt service and integrity.
We went to this restaurant for their lunch buffet. I would say the food was mediocre and had absolutely no spice. Service was ok, nothing spectacular. The lighting was odd as each light was a different color and actually provided very little light. I'm not sure if it was that way due to the holiday season, but it definitely made it difficult to see. I would not recommend this place. If you want Indian food go to another Indian restaurant in the Indy area.
Tasty. I have been for the lunch buffet several times. I do like the buffet, where I can sample multiple dishes. Dinner atmosphere is quiet and features single dishes. Entrees range approx $11-17. Pics from tonight are the Daal soup (lentils), paneer pakora (homemade cheese, dipped in chick pea flour and fried), and the chicken tikka masala. Staff are very helpful explaining a sauce or dish contents. It's a #yum. #ReviewsByRL
Lots of options to choose from, they even have Indo-Chinese which is a favorite of mine. The food was good, in my opinion I wish it was more spicy, but overall it was enjoyable.
This has become our favorite place for Indian. Especially for the Sunday afternoon buffet. They have a great selection of options, which is a great introduction for those who may not be familiar with Indian food. There really isn't anything on the buffet that I would stay away from. I think that most anyone would enjoy the flavors of these dishes, even if you can't pronounce the name of them : I like the goat Curry but my wife doesn't care for the flavor of the meat.
