Red Lion Main Street - Ilkley

Had an excellent Sunday dinner, we had not eaten there before so a few ask, maybe it was the girls first day, but she had no warning about everything we put, not even the price we finally found was £12,95 for the roast. choice of bark, huh or pork, all of our party, yorkshire pudding, good choice with 4 sweet plus brat and delicious kartoffels on teller, extra gravy on request and seasoned as expected, meerrettich, apple sauce. we went for a relaxed lunch and although the service was bad, we had a laugh how it was like a comedy sketch with "I don't know" answer, but we will return as the meal was very good and a pleasant atmosphere.

When we booked a table for 7 o'clock when we arrived a quantity of items in the tag menu, were deleted. at 2. visit at the same time we were not told a menu as it was a quiznacht. we made a pizza trip.

Visit cancel. many dishes not available on the menu. poor and lack of atmosphere.

Excellent Sunday roast accompanied by an impressive selection of very well cooked vegetables , and Yorkshire pudding of course . All served by a very efficient young woman !

Second time this year we have booked on a Sunday, first time thought unlucky, but yet again we were told limited menu, not what was on the website. Two different stories as to availability of meat, ended up with sub standard meat for a Sunday roast to be honest.
