I was eager to enjoy my experience at this restaurant, as it came highly recommended and had received excellent reviews. The decor was lovely. However, in the end, I felt that it was not worth the time and money spent.
This is a fun place to spend an evening in Idyllwild! They stay open later than most places in the city and offer a great selection. We decided to order some appetizers.
I believe they might be closing down or will do so shortly. They were sold out of menu items and drinks like Sprite and Dr. Pepper. The fish and chips were made with deep fried salmon, and the side of daily veggies was disappointing. The pasta with marinara sauce was inferior. It felt as though we were on a TV show where a celebrity chef comes out of the kitchen to ask about the old menu.
I visited this restaurant in Idylwild and had a disappointing experience. Upon being seated for lunch, we were informed that several staff members had not shown up for work. We anticipated some delays, but waiting 1 1/2 hours for fish and chips was excessive. It seems like this is a recurring issue based on other reviews. Many customers left due to the long wait and were confronted about payment on their way out. After finishing our meal, I left cash for the meal and a generous tip for the struggling staff as we did not want to wait any longer for the bill. Despite this, the waitress still approached me about paying for the meal. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
