Echo Mountain - Idaho Springs

This place is beautiful. You can buy everything online and you don't have to wait in line, when you arrive to the counters.The people are really nice, specially the ski patrol who helped my son on several occasions since he was learning.There is a restaurant, the bathrooms are clean, the equipment are well maintained.

This is a small and kid friendly place for the family. The staff at each location (check in, tubing, ski rental, grille, mountain ambassadors) were polite, courteous and helpful. The beginner area is a great place to learn and the slopes are not too difficult for beginner skiers. The switchbacks on the traveler's traverse help in learning to make turns. I appreciated the lower cost as compared to other ski resorts. All these factors contributed to my kids falling in love with skiing. We will be back next year and spend more days in this place.

Today was my first time visiting and I definitely think it’s worthy of a 5-star review. First of all, Paula was really helpful and super fast at responding to my email traffic earlier this week in preparation for my visit. The resort itself is obviously smaller than the other big name ones near the area but it’s super easy to navigate. Definitely NOT crowded at all and hardly any wait time for anything which made the experience so much better! I just really enjoy how simple, small, and quaint it is. The view isn’t too shabby either. My friends and I were able to get about 39 runs just up and down from opening to close. Definitely a great place for beginner/intermediate folks! Staff there was fantastic and super polite/professional, food was delicious and not overpriced. Just wanted to say thanks to Autumn at the ticket counter for making my day also (she was very nice and also from the same state as me, Vermont….which is super rare! . Lastly, the fact that they have discounted tickets for military means that I will DEFINITELY be returning to ski there again. I had such an awesome time today that I left with a souvenir shirt and sticker for my helmet!

Great day trip from Denver to mix it up on a Saturday! Everyone who works there was very kind and helpful. They had a lot of paring and the hour long tube time was run efficiently. You do spend a lot of time on the belt on the way up but it makes sense it’s that slow for safety for all ages. We had a blast trying out the different tracks

Great views here. Very shameful how the parking staff treats guests. They force you to unnecessarily park insanely close. I parked in the back today to avoid having to park 18 from the person next to me. Idiot in the Oakley goggles clearly had someone park <12 on purpose just to irritate me after we exchanged words earlier. Probably won't be back over it.
