Longhorn Steakhouse - Idaho Falls

Wanted to go there for my birthday. Got on the website to get on the list and it said that for 6 people you had to call the location. We called and they said that it’s first come first served. I got there at 5:30 on a Wednesday and they said it would be a 20 minute wait. 30 minutes later after watching probably no less than 30 people of groups of 4 get right in I asked how much longer, to which the lady said 20 more minutes. I have always been a fan of their food and have taken groups and recommended people eat there. The way we were treated was not how a restaurant should be run. I will never set foot in there again and I will definitely not recommend it to anyone.

Sara was a great waitress and all the hosts were kind and on top of it. The food was delicious and came out at a reasonable time. Love this restaurant!

This is my second visit to this restaurant. I ate different meals each time and both were great. This time was a tender steak, perfectly cooked, and served by hard working staff. I'll definitely go back.

I'm not sure what changed over the last few weeks, but I probably will not go back. Two weeks ago I ordered my normal ribeye, and it was half the thickness it normally is. I ordered medium rare and it came back medium well. The waiter misheard me on the order, but told me that was why the steak was so thin. I went back last week, and made sure the waiter heard me. It came back again just as thin but was cooked correctly...temperature wise, but had so much salt it burned my throat. Pretty bummed.

This was my first visit to longhorn in a long time. I was in the mood for steakhouse steak so headed over. Atmosphere was nice and bar staff was attentive. I ordered the outlaw ribeye at the suggestion of the server along with fries and a salad. Fries and salad were just fine, the steak however was disappointing. This is a big piece of meat, no question about that. But the amount of fat and connective tissue in it made it hard to cut and even harder to chew. It was tasty and cooked well though a little rarer than I ordered but so hard to cut I had to get creative. By the time I finished I had buyers remorse.
