Pain D'Avignon - Hyannis

Sat for date night with my wife, service was ok..wine was good, bark meattar was really good, the well-fled oysters were best moderate and from any reason we are not served over ice. they were room temperature and not pleasant at all for $42 a dozen. the escaped were extraordinary. we have the scallop risotto and the grouper special. could have been 4 stars if the oysters were not such a disappointment.

We love PDA for so many reasons! We've been going to PDA for 10 years. We're there in the morning for coffee and almond crossaints (yes we missed them dearly during covid We're also there for lunch, brunch and dinner. We're in town every other weekend and for 2 weeks over the summer. It is our go to place when we're on the Cape! The food is superb, the desserts scrumptious and they make the most perfect dry dry dry cappuccino for my very particular hubby! But the other main reason we go back time and time again is because the staff has become friends who welcome us back with smiles and sometimes hugs. They're genuinely happy to see us as we are to see them. Ashley, Cecelia, Anna, Johnny, Enrique, Lubitza, Nayali, Ryan and Seyit and the rest of their staff are just incredible. They're friendly and they take such good care of us. We had the pleasure of meeting their new manager Chloe last night. Though she was was busy greeting and checking in on everyone in the restaurant she made her way to our table for a quick chat. It was lovely to meet her and we wish her well in her new position. It's a stellar staff and Chloe is a great addition! We cannot say enough good things about this wonderful charming place!
