But at 3pm they opened the lovely spaces, far lovelier and commensurate of a fun dining experience and customers and staff ate there. Disappointed as ambience is important. Food very average. Certainly not bad but nothing was delicious as we hoped something would be.
Visited Nara lounge with a party of 7 on a Saturday. Of course I expected it to be busy but you’d think they would be use to it. Firstly I was waiting in a line for ten minutes when I had a table reserved. Then I waited over twenty minutes just to get served by a waiter. Then another 30 minutes just for the shisha and half of the food. It took another 20 minutes for the rest of my food to come. So my chips were cold by the time I got my main meal which the chips were ordered as a side to the main meal anyway so I expected them to be brought out at the same time. Although I can say the chicken was amazing. However it is very overpriced for such an average size plate. The atmosphere is great although I’ll think twice before visiting again.
I gave this place 2 stars not because the food isn’t good, but because of the whole experience. We came here for a feed with our little one, we waited at the entry to be seated as the sign says, for about 5 minutes before the right person acknowledged us and gave us a seat, the dining section of the restaurant was empty it was a Wednesday night so I’m not sure why everyone kept walking past us not saying anything, anyway, we got a seat. The menu is pricey compared to the other more known Lebanese restaurants (al-aseel, jasmins) hot chips $9 Fatoush $19 Mixed plate $38 It took another 10-15 minutes to get served I don’t know why, it was empty I had to wave a waiter to come to me. The food is good quality but the overall experience in wait times, lack of customer service, price and noise coming from the Shisha lounge really brings this place down, won’t be coming back here.
Came here as a group of 8 the beginning of the night was promising until we ordered our food and it didn’t come for another hour, in saying that only half the food came out and we waited about two hours in total for all our food which is ridiculous, when my Laham shawarma came out there was no reason for it to have taken two hours to come out it was a bit of meat and just a rocket salad.. unbelievable. We complained to the manager who was rude and we kept receiving dirty looks all night from staff and the manager. After our horrible experience with the food we were hoping the shisha could make up for it, we got seated and waited 20 mins before a waiter came to take our order. Waited another 20 mins for the shisha to come which didn’t come with the coal straight away as it should so it took another 10 minutes for the man with the coal to come around and give it to us. After smoking for a while we decided to order coffee and tea and after another 20 minutes of waiting for it we asked to cancel it cause it was just ridiculous to still be waiting for so long at 11:30pm. Wouldn’t recommend, food isn’t worth it and overpriced plus manager was rude and unaccommodating although a couple of their waitresses were nice.
Everything was fresh and so delicious. There was a long wait for food but worth it, and what can you expect when 250 people want to eat at the same time! First time here and sat in the lounge area and enjoyed a argilah too. You better book though as I saw so many people being turned away at the door, lucky my friend booked. Will be back for sure.
