(Saturday 5pm) Everything we ordered was delicious. Would even say it's close to or better than I Love Sushi in Madison. We started with spicy edamame kani salad. We shared three sushi rolls- shaggy dog, sunshine roll, and fantasy melody roll. They were all amazing! And we were stuffed. I definitely recommend this place for dinner!! Only took off one star because of the inconvenience in trying to visit this restaurant and the inside felt slightly dirty (except at the tables)
3/5 stars The positives first: we had a reservation, so when we arrived, we were seated promptly. Our waitress was nice, and our waters never got low. The portion sizes are quite large as well, so bring your appetite. On the flip side, I'm sad to say that this isn't the best hibachi I've had. The steak was cooked more well-done than the medium I ordered. The miso soup was pretty watery and subpar, and they messed up my mother-in-law's order, which took an additional 20-30 minutes to arrive after the rest of us had already gotten our food. Additionally, the bathrooms only had one stall per gender, which was inconvenient.
Entry acknowledgement was lacking from manager at front. I seated myself. Waitress was friendly. There wasn't a wine/drink menu, so I asked if they had plum wine. The menus looked old pages were falling out. Multiple pages on the menu mentioned the pictures weren't actual pictures of their food. (Seems like they've been at this location long enough that they cloud snap some pics recreate the menu on Microsoft Word). Good selection of food with the addition of Don Buri. We ordered sushi hibachi. All very good. Best Japanese fried rice. 7 huge shrimp, but surprisingly, skimpy on veggies. Tons of people ordering takeout, so a lot of people seem to like it or that it's the only sushi restaurant in the Harvest/Maysville/ Gurley area. It's local, so we wanted to give it a try but will likely head into Huntsville to try another small business.
This sushi is near perfection! We have eaten here many times over the years. Now that we live here we'll get take out or dine in once in a while. The staff are great and quick with the orders. Plenty of seating but you still might have to wait. Worth every penny!
Nothing bad to say. Just good, easy and quick hibachi. We usually get it to go and it's always ready when we get there!
