Sal's Pizza Place - Huntley

Best Pizza in McHenry County until my taste buds and eye for service say otherwise. When you walk in, the smell lets you know we are in a gem . Staff always welcoming, Don and the kitchen deserve so much props too. We get thin crust 99% of the time, but have tried all the crusts. Thin is just elite here. Sal 's special is a great starter, margherita appeases the bianca fans well. I personally love the Italian beef and giardinera. Also believe they use a local giardinera maker which is cool. All in all, my favorite local restaurant to the area and a must try. I might spend a shockingly calculable percentage of my income here and it 's worth it. Kid-friendliness: My kids love the staff

I live in Huntley for 4 years now, but was in Chicago for most of my life prior……Sal’s is not only the best out here but is just as good as anything in the city. Great, traditional Chicago thin crust pizza.

The meatball sub is so good! And the server/bartender (wish Id gotten her name) and kitchen were so great. Going to make this spot a staple for us.

Super tiny place, but the pizza was really good. The server was fast and friendly as well. The onion rings were very good, not a big fan of the fries.

This rating is for the pizza and service; my Long Island ICE Tea was not good. Switched to good old RC cola though, and the experience improved greatly. The pizza brought back memories of Mangia Pizza on Belmont (long gone) whose owners moved to Algonquin and expanded to Huntley. I'll wager this is the best pizza in the county.
