I had the 1938 original hamburger with the works plus cheese and bacon and curly fries and it was fantastic! The reviews on the meat salad, chicken salad sandwich and chicken salad were all very good. The desserts of apple cake, coconut cream and chocolate maus were amazing. Look forward to going back!
What brought us here was Kevin wanted biscuits and sausages that have the best fluffy cookies very good Gravy. I got the chicken fried steak omelet. I might expect some chopped pieces of meat, but that had a whole big chicken fried steak packed with engraving in an egg blanket with cheese upstairs. It was very good. The chicken fried steak was very tender, almost like hamburgers apart. I asked about the hash browns extra crispy. I just wanted them lying on the grill, long enough to be brown on both sides. What I got was a bunch of deep fried crunchy potato noodles, like potato chip texture. That was unexpected, but pretty good.
This is one of the best old students in town. Breakfast is southern comfort and is amazing. Their biscuits are warm and fluffy, their severity is beautiful and thick, and their eggs are very tasty. Your breakfast meat is very good and well cured. The staff is amazing. They will welcome you with an open smile and if they identify you regularly, they will remember who you are and what you like to eat. It's a shame that places like these die, but I'm glad Avalon Diner gets strong. Very recommended for breakfast.
What an ingenious place to breakfast the mood they have masked together with the excellent service perhaps that the food is not absolutely 5*, but the whole experience (plus the milkshakes...” As Rich as your landlord" means that this is not a place to miss when your feeling a little hungry. Absolute winner, with decent prizes for the match
Loved this spot! Tons of personality. Great service. Very busy and positive environment. I love a greasy spoon diner, so got basic eggs meat and toast and was very happy. Kids portions were pretty small. But tasty. My wife thought the corned beef hash left a lot to be desired. I’d go back all the time if I was local!
