J's Restaurant And Bar - HORSESHOE BAY

My parents took my children to a restaurant a few days ago. They convinced my wife to come along as well. Every time we visit the hill country, it is the most beautiful area, truly unique to Texas! When Texans plan a trip to the hill country, they think of amazing golf courses, resort pools, fine dining, spa treatments, shopping, sailing boats, and stunning modern luxury hotels that perfectly complement the landscape. Even though I may not be as fancy as others, my expectations were exceeded. We had such a great time that we didn't even notice the lack of bathrooms or the fact that we had to cook a Totino's pizza without a pan. Don't worry if you're just a regular guy like me, the hill country is full of natural beauty and outdoor fun waiting to be explored.

Located conveniently on the first floor of the main tower at Horseshoe Bay Resort, this restaurant offers delicious food and great drinks. With a diverse menu and a wide selection of liquors, there is something for every taste. The staff is friendly and efficient, with special mention to the bar staff Susan, Holly, Krissy Marshall, and their manager Trent. Don't miss the Chicken Fried Steak made with Ribeye, known to be the best in the area. The Pecan Crusted Trout is also a delicious option. Enjoy your meal and Bon Appétit!

In an effort to charge our car, the valet permitted us to park in a non-designated spot next to one of the cars already charging. We had to request the other car be moved so we could use the functional charging station. The valet assured us we could leave the car there overnight and it would be fine. However, upon returning from dinner, we found our car had been moved to a non-parking spot, preventing us from charging. We were unable to contact the manager and the valet on duty refused to move the car blocking us. After some time, the owner of the other car eventually appeared and moved their vehicle. The whole ordeal was frustrating and unnecessary. The internet connection at the charging station was unreliable, forcing us to call each time we wanted to start charging instead of scanning the app. The overall resort experience was enjoyable, but the charging situation was incredibly stressful. I recommend contacting the resort directly to confirm charging availability and speak with a manager to ensure a smoother experience. Despite the inconvenience, we would consider staying here again in the future.

I stayed at the resort for the Bronco Off Roadeo event and decided to have dinner at the restaurant. Susan was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. She recommended the cheese grits and they were delicious! I was a bit unsure because the menu was limited, but the grits definitely made up for it. Thank you, Susan, for a great dining experience.

My partner and I had dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good! We began with the sausage elote, which was a generous portion. However, I was not pleased with the presentation as it was served on paper. I enjoyed the filet that I ordered, and my girlfriend loved her rib BBQ plate. It's a great choice if you're in the area or staying nearby.
