8th Street Ale House - Hoquiam

Steamed clams and fish and chips were fantastic. Hamburgers and pizza were just ok. All was high price. Service was excellent. Ambience was nice.

The lady behind the counter was very kind to me. Treated me like a human being. Saw that I can't speak. And the food was delicious. Looked good. Smelled good was hot and fresh. Been wanting to try it. Loved it.

We've been going there for a few years; the food was amazing. Our most recent experience though didn't match our previous experiences. Maybe because it was late, but my salmon was overcooked/dry and my Brussel sprouts were burnt. Hopefully that was a fluke.

We really like this place, the bar tender is a bit fiesty which is nice to see against unruly patrons. They do not have a large selection of mixers if you want a cocktail (i.e. only sweetened lime juice and they were honest about the lines they did have being dry and iky . Their food is usually super good, on our last visit they were training 3 new cooks so it wasn't great but understandable given the circumstances (feel free to salt a burger patty yo' . They are super dog friendly and even have treats for them. Definitely recommend this place, even with the cooks in training it's the best food you can get in town.

Great food and drinks. The dog friendly beer garden in the back is very nice. Almost all the tables were covered from the elements and they had heaters available as well.
