The pork was charred and I love my pork that way but not so much in my ramen (typically) but the Mazeman was amazing. I wouldn't change a thing. Great experience.
Loved the ambience the vibes. Limited menu but tasted nice. We ordered takoyaki for the appetizer. Ramen noodles were firm not soft. But that was mentioned in the menu itself. We tried the fish ramen. The taste was more like tom yum soup. Salmon was lightly breaded. We didn?t like this fusion ramen flavor much. The pork shoyu were so soft and melted in mouth. Broth tasted very nice. Overall, the experience was good.
Not a huge fan of this place. We got the black garlic noodles with hot spice and it tasted like spicy miso soup, which is disappointing for the price. The only good thing about it was the pork, which was really good, and the 1/2 an egg you get. The chicken katsu with curry was a joke, and the chicken looked extremely old and was quite dry. If it was fresh, it probably would?ve been good. Really expensive for what you?re getting, and the staff seemed very occupied with each other and didn?t check on us once wouldn?t even look our way. (The crab ragoons were good!
Excellent flavor, with less traditional ingredients. Which isn't a problem in the case of Mugen Noodle. The yakisoba style noodle used at Mugen worked extremely well with the broths fats and oils used. You wont find a pork broth here, but even without it the ramen hits your tongue with flying colors of flavor. The brothless garlic ramen, the black garlic ramen (both non spicy and medium spice) and the crab wontons had exceptional taste. Spice at the medium level had just the right amount to feel the heat and add flavor without distracting from the rest of the bowl. The ambience and atmosphere certainly added to the experience pushing it over to a perfect review.
This place is amazing if you like Asian noodle cuisine, it would be hard to beat this and the local crafted saki is also extremely great; if I lived nearby, this is where you would find me. Also a great view of the river both from the dining room and from the outside seating on the deck
