SKY Waikiki Raw Bar - Honolulu

The view is breathtaking. The food wasn’t even “okay”. Overall extremely underwhelming experience. We should have gone up for a peek at the view and then left.

We love Sky Waikiki and usually come for special occasions. From the maitre d’ to our server Simon, everyone displayed upmost patience and professionalism w our family and guests from off-island. This has reminded us of how much we like Sky on Sundays w John Akapo and that we want to start coming regularly just the two of instead of frequenting the local restaurants near our home. Definitely more day lounge bar than restaurant. Service pretty slow. Seems crazy a place that is serving brunch doesn't have coffee. Seafood is pretty good though--tasted fresh and delicious.

I made this reservation 2 months prior to our trip. We were sat off to the side of of the restaurant with a view of a parking lot. The pretty ocean view had very limited seating. It was sunny and hot and they had no umbrellas for shade. We left before the wait staff had even came over. I can’t comment on the food or service. I’m sure if I had had a table with an ocean view and an umbrella I would be writing a much different review.

Sun was incredibly hot, and they gave us a tiny little hand held umbrella for shade... Our server looked like she didn't care about being at work or answering our questions. Food and drinks were good though.
