Ruth's Chris Steak House - South Barrington

We had an open table reservation, but from some reason on a Sunday night when they were not full, they placed us in the bar against the dining room. not the typical large service we are used to.

This restaurant is not what it was earlier. quality not the same. they can find a better experience in other steak houses. service was mediocre when considering that it should be a high quality restaurant. win it 2 try with several months between visit without change.

Cory, our waiter was fantastic! rated information, recommended and answered all the questions we had!

The dinner was absolutely delicious. the keilsalat was so big that I'll be shared with someone next time, but it won't go upstairs. it's my favorite. it is a meal in itself. the petite filet was especially amazing with the mushrooms as side. all supplements are enough to share with another person. amazing service of breanna and we will definitely be back!

Our Reservation for 2 was for 7:00 pm. We arrived 10 minutes before 7, but had to wait in a long line to check in. We weren 't seated until 6 minutes before 8:00. We were told the restaurant was overbooked . MANY others were waiting too for an hour with no place to sit, it was overcrowded. Once seated, we waited more than an additional hour to get our food. The food WAS great as usual... but our evening (besides the food itself) was essentially ruined.
