We ordered the red (similar to naan, but vegan), two curries, desserts, and curcumareis. We had tried two other restaurants before that were too busy and had an hour wait (we should have made reservations, but none of us had an active phone number to call), so we were not in the best mood to judge a place fairly. However, our moods were completely lifted by the amazing food. I would give this place five stars if I could.
The walk from the railway station is definitely worth it. The naan bread is large, the curry is delicious, and the portions are generous. Customers get much better value for their money here than they do at the train station.
I opted for the potato and eggplant curry, along with a serving of turmeric rice. The rice had a sticky consistency, similar to Japanese rice, but was yellow due to the turmeric seasoning. The portions were generous and very filling. However, I found the meal to be average and not particularly special, tasting similar to the curry I make at home. Overall, the meal was good value for 1400 yen, but I wouldn't choose to revisit this restaurant.
There weren't many vegan options available (only around 3 curries), but the staff was very knowledgeable about their ingredients and quickly pointed out which options were vegan-friendly. The spinach curry I had was delicious.
Located just a short distance from Hiroshima's train station, this small and cozy Indian restaurant offers delicious food.
