Fabulous experience my partner, Brenda Horwood, described it, accurately in my opinion, as faded grandeur . The receptionist/barman (a tall, slim young bloke, on our stay (Mon 6th Nov, last week) was great, hadn 't worked there long, very professional, and friendly. A magnificent old building, in an equally great setting.

Great place to stay if you want to visit the Devil's Punch Bowl, which is literally on the doorstep of this hotel. Also, good location to visit other attractions from. Staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
