The Cornerstone Bistro - Highland Park

This restaurant is no longer in operation and now only offers rental space for private parties and events. It is located in an area with a high homeless population, managed by the well-known organization DRMM.

We had a wonderful time listening to Priscilla Price and her band while celebrating her husband Kwame's birthday at the Bistro. The restaurant is located on a lower level and is well-maintained, with excellent service and a cozy atmosphere. The parking lot is secured and fenced in, making us feel comfortable and safe. However, the highlight of the night was definitely the amazing music.

I had a pleasant surprise at this restaurant. Despite their limited hours, the service was very attentive. The ambience is simple, but the dedication to their craft is noteworthy. We tried the french toast and a breakfast combo, both of which were delicious.

It seems like this restaurant may have closed down. I tried calling them at 313.305.5555 but kept getting a busy signal. When I went to the door, I thought I heard the doorman on the intercom saying that they were closed for good.

I finally had the chance to try the famous Red Hots Coney Island chili today. Up until now, I had only been to Red Hots for breakfast.
