At Glenmorangie House - Highland

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a birthday getaway this weekend and decided to dine at the restaurant as well. The ambiance was lovely, and we started with a whisky tasting led by a knowledgeable young lady. The group-style dining experience was unique and enjoyable as we all had our tasting together and then dined together at one big table. The meal itself was delicious, starting with canapes followed by a scrumptious soup that my husband claimed was the best he had ever tasted. The fish course was a bit disappointing as my husband is allergic to fish, and it felt like they had just substituted chicken instead of creating a cohesive dish for us. However, the main course of melting beef and gingerbread Panna cotta pudding was delectable. Our hostess expertly paired whiskies with each course, enhancing the overall experience. We ended the evening by the fireplace with tea and coffee. Highly recommended, and we would definitely return if in the area again.

We were initially delighted by the intriguing appetizer of seared scallops with pea puree. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this dish! The wild game was the star of the main course, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. Our server recommended a wonderful cabernet that perfectly complemented the venison. We are already making plans for another visit and can't wait to enjoy another fantastic meal at Glenmorangie House.

We spent three nights at this restaurant and each evening we were treated to a different delicious meal that was truly heavenly. It was definitely some of the best food we had during our trip.

We had lunch at this wonderful historic house with its marvellous grounds. As you would expect from a place of this repute, we had marvellous service and the food was wonderful. The table overlooked the grounds with a lovely view. The wine list had a wonderful choice to suit most pockets. I would certainly recommend this place.

We had a fantastic dinner. The haggis was the best I ever had. The service was perfect. This is the best dinner I had in Scotland so far. Can't recommend it enough.
