I wanted to try one of the quiches. we both order the burgers; one was the French bistro burger with sautéed mushrooms and a gorgonzola aioli, the other was a traditional American cheeseburger with Pimento cheese. both were served with fries. be prepared, the French bistro burger is big and somehow chaotic. when they are on the zaun over gorgonzola slip it. the aioli is quite strong and very not for those who do not like blue cheese. the owner and the chef, diana, came out to welcome us and offered a piece of lemon pancakes, on the house. Most of the pancakes are served cold or room temperature. this was served slightly warm with a lemon glaze. very delicious! we plan to go back to dinner and hope there are more possibilities. the dinner menu looks fantastic!
We drove 45 minutes to realize that the restaurant is in business.
We had a great time eating in pepper. the owner was a wonderful soul that made sure we take care of it. eating was amazing! that is a nice little cursed place, can't wait to go back!
Valentinstag special menu. the highlight was the appetizer. it went down from there. claims to cook “fresh” but there were obviously frozen, doses and combed ingredients used in the dressed, badly seasoned and overcooked. the affirmations French inspired, but not experienced that in everything, as portion sizes and waiting time. there were good ideas behind the menu, but did not pass through the presentation.
Spent $125 per person for Valentines dinner.. advertised as a prix fix menu including champagne .. ONE glass. Very disappointed that the 3 courses included a basic salad with beets, “lobster spaghetti”.. literally spaghetti noodles with basic sauce and a couple chunks of lobster, dessert?… we waited 40 minutes for dessert before we decided to leave without the dessert. We were one of many couples who finally walked out. As people who have worked in the restaurant industry and support local businesses, we hung around as long as we could. One star given only because zero stars was not an option.
