A real Mexican restaurant, typical and warm. A colorful decoration in the Mexican tradition. Generous dishes rich in flavor at a good price. I really recommend the mole negro , emblematic dish of Mexican cuisine and the city of Puebla. If you are passing through, do not miss Fonda de Santa Clara

Our first night in Puebla and we wandered into this stunning traditional Mexican restaurant. The colors, music and ambiance made our meal extra special. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The menu is filled with traditional dishes from Puebla and Mexico. I ordered the mole poblano, which originated from this state was was soooo flavorful. The chicken was moist and the mole left me scraping my dish. We enjoyed lemonade and some coffee and tea after our meal. We also had some chicken soup, sopa de pollo, which was flavorful and you could add your own rice, onions lemon and cilantro. We are there early however we are told later in the evenings it is filled with many patrons and lively music.

Excelent atmosphere and service, they had escamoles a typical dish which was very good. The mole and in general all the traditional and authentic dishes with hand made tortillas made a fabulous culinary experience .

Smooth and strong coffee! Very welcoming and attentive service. Delicious huevos revueltos buttery eggs served with fresh bread. Highly recommend for an authentic and belly warming experience.
