Hum-ming Garden

We booked here for my husbands birthday, the food was nice and the staff are lovely. The only critisimn is I felt very rushed from the moment we sat down we were asked what menu we wanted, we hadn't even taken our jackets off at this point. When we ordered and finished our starter our plates

Ordered duck with plum sauce as take away. Actual dish no plum sauce just pineapple flavour and chunks of pineapple under the duck. Would have been great if that was what I had ordered but I wanted duck with plum sauce. Spoke to restaurant and was told that is how they do it. First and last time I have duck from here. Shame as food normally good. Attitude of staff not good, no apology just blunt statement and then ‘goodbye’ and phone put down. Not good customer service….

We are staying in the area and decided to have a family meal out for my partners birthday. Going on previous reviews we chose Hum-Ming Garden and I’m so glad we did. From the very start we were treated lovely by all the staff. The food was so fresh and tasty and the bill was extremely reasonable. Great place to eat out in my opinion.

We've been welcomed by a kind staff (unlike what we experienced at the nearby Rose&Crown, where we've been denied food perhaps due to our Italian accent although everyone else around us was having dinner and it was just 8:20 pm of a Friday night). Everything we ordered here was simply fantastic and the kind atmosphere cheered up our mood in a matter of minutes! After dinner, we got permission to finish our drinks in the lovely garden, surrounded by roses and other beautiful flowers. Recommended.

I have been to this restaurant a few times and would have said it was the best you could find. I went again with friends this week 9th June 2022 I was so disappointed the price increase I will accept. But why loose all the quality this restaurant had? Get rid of paper table clothes serve your duck as duck not full of lettuce leaves stick to quality and l will return until then I will look somewhere else. It's a shame to see. Don't let greed spoil your business
