Hickory Stick

It's been a while since we were here last but the food was just as good as previously. There is an extensive menu given the size of the place and I really like that all 8 of us were served with hot food at the same time even though we all had different meals. It's good value and made our evening out bowling even more special. We have booked to go again in March!

We went for Sunday lunch on 8th May, first time for over a couple of years as we’ve only recently started to venture out again as I’m on the ‘vulnerable’ list. We were really pleased with the meal, so much so we enjoyed three lovely courses. We will definitely be back as we found the quality of the food, staff and service outstanding. Well done team!

We thoroughly enjoyed a recent Sunday lunch celebrating a birthday. We were a party of fifteen including six youngish children. The menu was varied and the food first class with a menu for children and promptly served without being rushed. It must be one of the best value eateries in the area as prices everywhere seem to be a lot higher.

I highly recommend this restaurant, as it was recommended to me and has been a popular choice for Christmas parties. I booked it for my dad's 70th birthday and we were not disappointed. We had 68 guests who were entertained, well-fed, and provided with excellent service. The food was delicious, the wine was great, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. It was a wonderful day filled with happy memories. Thank you to everyone at the Hickory Stick for a fantastic afternoon. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Visited on Sunday 7th November. We had booked and when we got there found the seating very close to other guests dining there. I'm sure they could have arranged things better. I guess we were unlucky, we got somebody new working there who got our drinks order mixed up. Overall the meals were good which is the main thing.
