This is a smallish Japanese restaurant serving a range of food including ramen, bento boxes, rice bowls, etc. The service is friendly enough although the lady serving us came round only minutes after handing us the menus to get out order. We had to send her away so we could actually decide what we wanted. We had Duck Corn Ramen and Tempura Prawn Bento. The ramen came in a large bowl however only had a few small slices of duck. The soup itself was flavourful and the corn with butter was nice too. The bento had a variety of items so you can have a bit of everything. It tasted nice.
-Moderate food -Bad ingredients quality -Small portion of meats -Bad services. Waitress acted like she doesn't care anyone in the world. Very arrogant. There is 10% discount for student until 5:30pm but it didn't work. I represented student id at 4:50 pm but ended up paying full price without giving me a receipt. They should be better compare to the price. I would not recommend this place. There are more better Japanese restaurant around Haymarket for you to try out. Not very impressed.
I've been there twice now and both times the ramen was very very undercooked. As in, still in the shape it is dried into in the packaging undercooked. The broth is ok but without properly cooked noodles there is no point.
So where do I start. Another flop. With the Entertainment book we received 25% off our bill but without this i wouldn't reconsider dining here again. The waiter looked so reluctant to seat us down just cause I didn't want to sit right in front of their doors. Ordering was fast and food came out soon after. The charshu in the ramen was fatty, broth was ok, chicken Katsu wasn't bad. Overall, standard. There were two little pieces of fried salmon in my bento and they were dry. Overall, average. So with our ramen and bento set we are meant to get a free scoop of ice cream each. 15minutes passed and we couldn't see or find a waiter. I got up twice and there was no one. Finally I saw someone in the kitchen and asked him about it. So then finally a waitress comes out. She doesn't ask what ice cream we want and doesn't realize it's supposed to be two scoops. When the waitress came out to get my ice cream order she came out empty handed and walked away empty handed. Why wouldn't you clear the table and take our dishes back to the kitchen? It would save you coming back out (since you obviously don't want to come out anyways) and clearing the table again. The restaurant isn't busy, the food isn't great, don't even know why they put themselves into the entertainment book. A Groupon deal wouldn't even save them.
