We went to lunch yesterday. what a waste of time and money. we had the garnel and redfishery; three garnel, very spicy fish, hard cold pitta, dry, tasteless rice. that was so disappointing. No one came near to ask how it was at all, and when the tellers were collected, we told the waitress (political) that we were unhappy with eating. She scrubbed her shoulders. that was it. we've been and it's always been a bit hit and missing. this time it was a failure, so we'll give it to the future. there are many other places to eat that are much better.
All of the waitstaff appeared to be constantly on their feet, rushing to the tables as soon as the dishes were cleared, and seemed exasperated when taking our orders. The manager was unfriendly to our table when we raised concerns about our incorrect order. Despite this, we decided to give the restaurant another chance, only to be told to vacate our table at a certain time and stand outside if we wanted to continue drinking. It's a shame because the pub has a beautiful appearance.
Nice pub, but in customer service lacked the table we had was ridiculous people knocking us waiting and coming out of the restaurant, the room was very loud, they could hear everything, especially the people about them very creaky floor boards they think they were football playing and they could hear they talking and wear not to sleep any information in the room would not go back a little personal touch
Saturday November. We ate in the restaurant and were served by excellent female waitresses. Sorry we dont know your name but credit to you all. You served us food and drink with ease and nothing was too much trouble. We had bread...and oils and the McKenzie Trio of game Venison, Boar and the best sliced duck i have ever had hats off. Then Chicken in a creamy/mushroom type sauce and I had Belly Pork with Black Pudding Mash and cabbage and bacon we shared a side of vegetables. For desert (we just managed to fit it in) my wife had some lovely cheese (infact, i ate her leftover cheese) and i had an Orea Cheesecake . Some lovely beers to wash it and down and i must say one of the best meals we have had for many a day. We would come back bar the odd mile round trip but, if we were in the area again, we certainly would. Thank you very much all. Oh, and best of all it wasnt earth shattering in cost either.
