They serve complimentary dishes and the best, and I’ve never experienced this before, but the server (owner? came right over, demonstrated how to mix the food, and put it right in our mouth with the chop sticks. And he did it to every table. We were cracking up and it was amazing. Food was fast and incredible and at the end they showed us the story of the restaurant which made us cry. This place is perfect. Traditional Vietnamese vegan food in Old Quarter, and i won’t forget this meal. It was wonderful. If you are in Hanoi put this place at the top of your list of places to visit!!
Amazing food, amazing service. I tried a few different things but the ‘beef’ with pineapple sauce was soooo good. Never tasted anything like this
This was our favourite meal in Hanoi on our last night in the city. Free tofu braised with tomatoes, herbs and rice was just the start! The banana flower salad was fresh, sweet and nutty. The sausage with mushrooms was the perfect umami flavour and the eggplant and garlic was my son's favourite dish. Super lovely family too.
The place is not fancy, but you don 't really need it with the food that is served here. They even bring you starters (that are almost like mains! that are on the house. There are a looot of options for vegan 'meat ' pork chicken beef alternatives. The vegetable dishes are also very good, prepared in a unique way (we had eggplant with garlic . The owner and the rest of the staff are very welcoming and enthusiastic!
On the last day of travels to Vietnam (13 days) I enjoyed my favourite dishes at this place in Hanoi. We were served and fed complimentary tofu and soup, ordered a garlic squash, vegan beef (onion and chilli) and vegan pork (sweet and sour) which was the most delicious dish. Staff were nice, vibe was homely and cuisine was traditional but unique. Would recommend anybody go here. Have to say though a little troublesome to find, look for the little alleyways in the street or ask someone nearby
