Dairy Queen Grill Chill - Hamilton

Milk queen is good, there is no fear that. I started going elsewhere to get my ice because it is lacking creativity, and I'm not the only one that feels like that. their blizzard aromen have become boring and not exciting at all. mostly the same things chocolate bars and bear fruit with peanut butter. to get to a local ice place with 20 aromes, one is not boring if they would get something interesting.

I would give Alex at this restaurant 5 stars for his exceptional customer service. Alex is patient, friendly, helpful, and consistent. He went above and beyond to ensure that my order was perfect and even arranged a surprise treat for my 9-year-old, who had a great time. The food was delicious and Alex really made our lunch experience stellar. Thank you, Alex! Hunter thinks you're a cool guy.

We arrived at the restaurant late at 9:45 and found the employees to be incompetent. There were five people working, but no one was assigned to specific stations. The parking lot was full, so we had to park next door and walk to the entrance. The service was slow, with one person taking orders and fulfilling them. There was a lack of efficiency with roles not being clearly defined. The lack of on-site guidance was apparent, as there was no friendly greeting or thank you from the staff. The kitchen and customer areas were observed to be dirty, with black mold between floor tiles and trash visible in various areas. Surfaces, from table tops to spice areas, were sticky and appeared to not be wiped regularly. We opted to sit outside as the cleanliness inside was concerning. The cleanliness of both the prepped and cooked food areas was in question. The restaurant did not seem like it would pass a health inspection. Additionally, there were strange policies in place, such as not allowing customers to write messages on cakes purchased from the freezer or accepting $100 bills for orders under $50. It was clear that the focus was not on the customer's experience. It is disappointing that the manager or owner did not address these issues with their employees. We ended up going to another establishment for ice cream, where we were pleased with the quality and service. I can only give this restaurant one star based on my experience, and would give it zero stars if possible. The lack of cleanliness, efficiency, and customer focus is not acceptable.

Nothing like patiently standing for minutes while people go through the outside door and go to the counter and are served immediately. I know it's busy, but that's even more reason to respect the people who are in the queue. waited 10 minutes, several people served before me, who came later, I gave up and left empty hand. a lot of luck next time.

While this Dairy Queen can get absolutely hopping in the summer, and it means it may not always be worth waiting, if you do wait the staff are as efficient as possible and extremely friendly. They make great products and if there is ever a mistake, they happily fix it. They go out of their way to be helpful, even when customers like myself can be inconvenient calling for cake orders at the last minute, or not remembering what the blizzard I tried and love was and describe it to them instead of giving them a name. They always answer the phone, they get your order right, they are kind and considerate. I drive out of my way to visit this particular Dairy Queen because I know I am guaranteed excellent service. I have really appreciated all the wonderful service I’ve received over the years, and lately. I do prefer to go in the “off season” or off peak times because it seems like everyone knows the secret of this wonderful place and the lines can get long on those hot summer days and nights. But, I can’t blame them for being a popular place that simply isn’t large enough to handle the demand of those days that just scream for ice cream. I’m a big fan of the Dairy Queen on Fennell in Hamilton and hope they hear me shouting their praises.
