The only part of the meal I enjoyed was the beef and warm appetizers that are brought to your table. The appearance of the buffet was not appealing to the eyes. And what I disliked the most, is when I asked for a particular beef that is part of their menu, the cooks gave me a hard time saying that I would have to wait. I rather pay a little more and get better service and better buffet, at a place like Texas de Brazil. As a matter of fact, if you sign up on their website, you receive coupons monthly for dining and lunch.
I don 't know if all Knife steak houses are like this but the second I pulled in the parking lot I should have turned around. I read all the reviews and figured could it really be as bad as other have said. YES and worse. From the start the parking lot was dark and not kept at all, weeds and grass uncut and just unkept. Walking into the restaurant we were greeted very fast and seated at a nice table. The server walked over and it was like we ruined his whole night by sitting in his section. He never made eye contact mumbled everything and could not understand much of what was coming out of his mouth. We then proceeded to the salad bar where the dressings/toppings were not under a sneeze guard. I selected a few items and walked back to the table where I saw three bottles of wine. The server came over and mumbled This is the one you get with the meal this next one is $10.00 more and last one is $15.00 more.” I took the one included mistake should have opted for the soda not a good wine at all. I started to cut my salad and on the first cut I found a dead fly. Being that I was kinda on a date I put the fly to the side and started to eat the hot cooked meats As I cut in to my steak (it was very good) one of my other guest found a fly in his salad (different type of salad). So we decided to let the server know the problem. Again it was like we ruined his night he said sorry for the fly” They sent the MGR over after three other employees came over and were looking at our table doing nothing. One woman came to the table pulled a tissue from her pocket ripped the corner off and picked up the fly I put on the table and said its ok just a little fly . The MRG came over and tried to play dumb saying he did not know English that well not knowing that one of my guest is very fluent in 5 different languages. After my guest and the MGR talked he could speak English. The MRG said They are just little flies and they fly in the little windows with the little cracks and he was sorry but it happens all the time and he would give us a huge discount because of the issue. I was not looking for a discount but ok I wanted to eat the meat now anyways. I will not go into what happened at the meat section but it was just as bad. I wanted out I figured dessert was all we had to go and we were out of this place. Great desserts if you could get all of that you wanted it would have been worth it. So the bill came the huge discount was under $13.00 with a bill that was over $80.00. So don 't be like me and think you are going to get anything different just different flies hope both of mine were thrown away.
The food is great the perfect choice to go with friends and family.
We went to The Knife with our 3 year old son and our friends with their 4 year old. It was a very nice atmosphere, we had 2 bottles of wine (included with the meal), and our friend had 2 beers (included). We were not rushed at all. We sat and ate and ate and ate. They have a nice salad bar, but I was there for the meat. I had currasco steak, beef ribs, pork ribs, Argentinian sausage, to name a few things they offered. There is a big grill with the meat cooking and you tell them want you want. The first piece of steak I had was a little dry, but you put it the side and get another piece. Other than that the meats were great. After we ate we had desert (also included) after eating dinner for at least an hour and a half to two hours. The deserts were really good. The wine soaked pear with ice cream is awesome. For about $30 a person you get all the salad bar and grilled meats you can eat with a bottle of wine or two beers and a desert in a great atmosphere. This place would be great for families, dates, birthdays, whatever. We were all very happy with the service, food, and atmosphere.
