The cave like atmosphere was okay with us too, but I feel like they could do some touching up with some fresh paint and pictures. I looked back at some photos we took and it looked quite dingy.
My friend and I had sushi and drinks here before the Blue Rodeo concert at the Scotia Bank Ctr. We were seated in a private small room, very rustic surroundings and cosy atmosphere. We ordered five different types of rolls and a plate of spring rolls. The spring rolls were amazing! The sushi was so good too! The best roll was the Nova Scotia Roll- Spicy salmon roll topped with slices of salmon drizzled with chilli oil. There was a bit of a language barrier between us and our server but it didn't affect our food, so it wasn't a big deal :)I will definitely be back!
If you are looking for food on the slightly sweet side, this is definitely the place. All the food we had (katsu
We went in a group of 10 and had a spectacular dinner with great showmanship by our chef. Filet and scallops were top notch. Highly recommend the hibachi grill.
I am so happy my friend brought me to Fujiyama, this is by far the best sushi I have ever eaten. The service was wonderful, I loved the atmosphere (I really don't understand the other reviews- it does feel like you're in a cave and it is wonderful) and the sushi was perfect. The best way I can describe it is that everything was perfectly balanced and oh so fresh. I ordered the maki combination dinner which came with miso soup and garden salad to start followed by a California roll, spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll. It was delicious, very fresh, presentation was lovely and the taste was out of this world. I cannot wait to come back here and will definitely call this my go to sushi spot in Nova Scotia. Thank you for a lovely meal.
